XBOX 5ive. Tuloy FC trashes Manila Montet with EAFC-esque scoreline

Tuloy FC

It was a battle of all-Filipino lineups on a hot summer night at Rizal Memorial Stadium, with Manila Montet suffering a consecutive defeat against Tuloy FC in PFL action.

Tuloy FC showed from the get-go why they are must-watch TV, as Denmark Uracoy started the scoring in the 11th minute with a well-placed header from a cross by Justen Lupangco.

John Loyd Jalique scored the 2nd for Tuloy FC in the 33rd minute after an unlikely error from Montet keeper Mark Jones. The Montet keeper tried to play fancy after a backpass from his defender, but Jalique dispossessed the keeper to slot in his 1st of the night.

The first half finished with Tuloy FC dominating 70% of the possession and having 13 shots, with 8 on target, while Montet failed to threaten on the opposite end with 0 shots on goal.

Montet started the 2nd half by making 4 substitutions, with the changes showing promise as Montet started to break into transition regularly after forcing turnovers to threaten Tuloy FC’s defense with some threatening attacks.

But alas, Montet’s attacking flair did not last long as Tuloy FC capitalized on Montet leaving too much space in transition, with Lupangco finding Jalique once again in the 57th minute to score his 2nd of the night and 4th of the season for a tie of the lead of the current PFL scoring chart.

Cyrelle Saut added a 4th for Tuloy FC after a restart in the 62nd minute, creating something out of nothing with a lovely low-driven shot from outside the box.

Jalique turned provider in the 83rd minute, finding Jhon Diaz’s run into the box, which he slotted into the far right corner to give Tuloy FC their 5th and final goal of the night.

Tuloy FC’s performance against a hapless Montet showed what could be possible for our locals with the right environment and training. Harry Nunez orchestrated Tuloy’s masterclass in the middle, and John Loyd Jalique showed that he still has his shooting boots by continuing his hot streak of braces.
