United City FC dominated Loyola FC with a resounding 6-0 victory in the opening fixture of the PFL on Sunday. The match showcased United City’s offensive prowess under coach Ramon Tribulietx and highlighted their ambitions for a top-five finish.

The scoreline opened in the 9th minute when Sendra delivered a precise cross to Ngueukam, who calmly slotted it home. Just two minutes later, Nurhidayat found Sendra in a perfect position, allowing him to double United City’s lead. Sendra was on fire, completing his brace just before halftime, making it 3-0.

The second half saw United City maintaining their relentless attack. Hartmann added the fourth goal, and shortly after, Bugas made it five. Both players not only found the back of the net but also assisted each other’s goals, showing their excellent teamwork and understanding on the pitch.

Loyola’s defense faltered once more, leading to their sixth concession. A costly error allowed Troy Limbo to capitalize and put the final nail in Loyola’s coffin. Despite the lopsided scoreline, Loyola made efforts to score a consolation goal, with Sidibe, Kante, and Acot all coming close.

This victory marks United City FC’s eighth win of the season, bringing their points total to 26 and solidifying their hopes of breaking into the top five. On the other hand, Loyola FC finds themselves tied for 8th place with Maharlika, both teams sitting on 16 points.

Looking ahead, Loyola FC will face 13th place Tuloy in their next fixture, aiming to recover from this heavy defeat. United City FC, with momentum on their side, will battle 6th place One Taguig in a crucial match for the 5th position.
