The Philippine Air Force FC pulled off a stunning upset against the young guns of Tuloy FC, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory. An unexpected result for PAF FC, as they clinched their first 3 points after enduring three consecutive defeats.

The first attempt of the game came from an Air Force set piece but was saved by Tuloy’s second-choice GK Archie Pabelliar. Denmark Uracoy had an attempt but was saved by PAF GK Zaldy Abraham. Meanwhile, Patrick Salenga of Air Force was booked with a yellow card.

Moments after, there was almost a goal for Macasinag but a good closeout was shown by Tuloy’s goalie. In the 21st minute, Ronald Macasinag had another attempt, but this time it was a goal for the airmen, from a great pass by Jed Delariarte.

Despite Tuloy’s efforts, including missed chances from John Loyd Jalique and a saved shot of Denmark Uracoy, Air Force maintained dominance with their precise cross-court passing and strategic long balls.

Tuloy attempted to turn the tide by making tactical substitutions, with Lumpanco and Uracoy making way for Sajor and Capistrano. However, just before halftime, Jed Delariarte extended Air Force’s lead with a clinical finish, adding to his earlier assist.

The second half started and Tuloy became more aggressive. Syron Saut’s shot from a free kick was on target but straight to Abraham. Jalique and Grizola had their attempts but failed to convert. The guys from the Villamor Air Base used their strong physique against the young kids from Alabang. John Loyd Jalique almost gave his club’s first goal but was deemed offside.

A series of bookings for PAF players were given by referee Chrismel Cayabyab in a short amount of time, as Karl Bronda, Rodolf Bebanco, and Dari Poderoso Jr. were all booked yellow cards. Because of this, Coach Erwin Oro of the Philippine Air Force became furious, resulting in him receiving another yellow card.

A glimpse of hope for Tuloy FC came in the 86th minute as their main man John Loyd Jalique scored a goal from a Cyrelle Saut assist. A minute later, Cyrelle Saut almost made an equalizer for Tuloy but Barotac Nuevo native Zaldy Abraham prevented it from going in.

Levis Sajor missed a header from a Jalique cross that could have possibly tied the game. Seven minutes were added, but Air Force’s time-wasting efforts made the added time short for Tuloy to have an equalizer. The game ended 2-1, with the Philippine Air Force snagging 3 points.
