In a crucial battle for pride at the end of the Philippines Football League season, Mendiola FC 1991 secured a vital 4-2 victory against Tuloy FC.

The young squad from Alabang started the match with high intensity, resulting in an early goal at the 6-minute mark. Syron Saut capitalized on a pass from Rocky Grizola to give Tuloy FC the lead.

However, Mendiola quickly responded. Nine minutes later, Ellijhone Rasonable connected with former Aluminum Arak U21 forward Sajad Mohebizadeh, who scored the equalizer for Mendiola.

The match saw balanced possession, but former Azkals player Noti Nuñez showcased his experience. He assisted John Loyd Jalique in scoring Tuloy’s second goal, ending the first half with Tuloy leading 2-1.

In the second half, Mendiola came out determined. Just eight minutes in, a late challenge by Tuloy’s goalkeeper Michael Antilo Jr. resulted in a penalty. Hamed Hajimehdi converted the spot-kick, bringing Mendiola level.

Tuloy attempted to regain the lead with a long-range shot from Grizola, but Mendiola’s goalkeeper John Betanio made a crucial save. Shortly after, Hajimehdi struck again, giving Mendiola the lead with a finesse shot to the bottom right corner.

An injury to Antilo Jr. led to his replacement by second-choice goalie Ronie Wale. Before the final whistle, Hajimehdi completed his hat-trick with a stunning direct free kick, sealing the victory for Mendiola.

This win propels Mendiola back into the top 10 with 10 points, while Tuloy remains in 13th place.
