Manila Digger recorded their biggest win of the season in their penultimate PFL fixture, taking down Don Bosco Garelli with seven unanswered goals Saturday evening at the Rizal Memorial.

The Backhoe Brigade, managed by Pong Liman, was merciless in front of the shorthanded Greywolves, with the match already settled before halftime when they were 3-0 up, thanks to goals by Darwin Regala (3’), Earl Piñero (34’), and Daiki Jahana (43’).

Forward Sang-cheon Jeon quickly made his mark by registering Digger’s maiden hat-trick in the top flight, with the Korean completing it in just ten minutes after the restart.

Jeon’s double took only a minute and 45 seconds, and he completed his treble in the 56th minute with another thumping shot from inside the box, practically gifting Digger their seventh win in twelve matches.

Defender Dean Ebarle then capped off their best night with a tap-in from Su Diao’s cross in the 73rd minute, with the league newcomers locking up seventh place, creating a five-point gap away from Loyola and Maharlika.
