The PFL Sunday double-header kicked off in a prophetic manner as Mendiola FC and Philippine Army FC played to a goalless draw.
Both sides set their stalls on controlling midfield and as that momentum swung so did the game, but not enough to break through the final layers in the respective goals, with Mendiola directing traffic in the first 45 and Army able to sit back and extend their gas tanks to take back control later. The Servicemen can take pride in scoring their first point of the league campaign though, and can take heart in a good performance that could very well have swung their way with around 2-3 more young guns on their side.
